TurkeySurrounded by four different seas, Turkey is a beach paradise with over 8000 km of sunny strips of sand. Home to more than 20 different fascinating civilizations, Turkey has a 10,000 year-old heritage, much of which is still being uncovered. Its rich history is very much part of the present, with temples, ancient theatres, churches, mosques, tombs, statues of gods, palaces and fortresses and many fascinating museums which bring the past to life. BodrumBodrum is a Turkish port in Mugla Province. It lies on the Peninsula, near the northwest entrance to the Gulf of Gokova, facing the Greek island of Kos. Today, Bodrum is the centre of tourism and yachting. The town is a very popular tourist resort due to its attractive coastline and busy nightlife. Every year many thousands of tourists visit Bodrum. At the heart of the Bodrum peninsula, built around two bays and dominated by the imposing 15th century Crusader castle, is the eclectic town of Bodrum. The elegant low-level whitewashed houses cascade down the hillside to the colourful harbour front. The cobbled alleyways of the bazaar market area in the town centre are bursting with life day and night.
Whether you stay in Bodrum itself, with its small local beach, or choose one of the many sandy coves close by, you will have the choice of spending a peaceful relaxing day lying in the sun or indulging in some fantastic water sports. LocationThe Bargylia project is a luxury gated development on the Aegean coast. Located in Guvercinlik it is ideally situated 15 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes from the centre of the beautiful town of Bodrum with its wonderful marina, castle and excellent social life. Turkey is four hours away by air. British Airways and Turkish Airlines have daily direct flights, as well as most other charter air lines such as Thomson fly, Easy Jet and bmi. NightlifeBodrum probably has more variety of nightlife than any other holiday destination in Turkey, appealing to all tastes. Intimate seaside cafes, with magnificent views of the illuminated castle mingle with busy, energetic street side bars featuring the latest music. There are also a number of clubs that offer live music, either jazz or traditional Turkish folk music (there are several of these local nightclubs on the road to Konacik and Ortakent) where the crowd joins in with the local artiste, singing, dancing, eating and drinking. Most of the bars in Bodrum’s mile-long ‘Bar Street’ (Dr. Alim Bey and Cumhuriyet Street), offer dancing, belly-dancing floor shows, live music and outdoor seating (often on the beach) with a view of the illuminated castle. For clubbers the main place to be is Halikarnas, one of the biggest and wonkiest open air clubs in the world. There are many other clubs too, including one on a catamaran that sets sail late at night and takes the party out to sea until the dawn. Local Leisure FacilitiesThe blue Aegean waters that wash the beaches of the Bodrum peninsula lend themselves admirably to a vast range of water sports, from scuba diving to windsurfing and jet-skiing. The Marina long walk is full of local operators renting out equipment, arranging excursions or offering lessons. Aquatic thrills are also on offer at the town’s two water parks. There are many local walking clubs which offer hiking programmes (generally not in the height of the summer season when it is too hot for foot-slogging) to those tired of the sea and sand. There are numerous ways to get out of town and explore the enchanting villages, bays and historic sites in the area. Either hire a car, motorbike, or bicycle; take a boat/ hydrofoil trip; book an organised excursion; a jeep safari; or simply hop on a dolmus (minibus). Internal Specification/ Facilities
The apartments come fully fitted to the highest standard. The kitchen will be fully equipped with appliances. The bathrooms will be fully fitted, with flooring and paintwork throughout the apartment. Air conditioning in each apartment. Inspection Trips
