Location

Nocera Terinese is a town and commune of the province of Catanzaro. The old town is situated 240m above sea level. Nocera Terinese faces the bay of St. Eufemia. The Marina is located between Campora San Giovanni and Falerna. Thanks to its position Nocera is in the middle of many popular tourist sites. It is a place where you can relax or reach summer night sites in a few minutes by car.

Nocera is best known for its commemoration of the Passion of Jesus Christ during the Holy Week. It deals with an historic event called 'Vattienti' and is well known for the flagellation that some devoted people choose to undertake. Millions of people every year travel to Nocera in order to see this event.

Nocera is just 10 minutes from Terme di Caronte - celebrated for its sulphuric mineral water spring and mud baths, while the famous Camigliatello Silano Ski Resort in the Sila National Park is only one hour away.

The International Airport of Lamezia Terme is a short 15 min. drive to the south, and the local train station that services Rome, Pizzo, Tropea and Reggio di Calabria is only 5 minutes away.
