In general, the best time to visit is May-September, when the days temperatures are 50s-70s F /11-25 C. Spring and early fall, however, are unpredictable; snow flurries and low temperatures in the 30s F/ 0-10 C are possible as late as May and as early as September. Temperate continental; Mediterranean only on the southern Crimean coast; precipitation disproportionately distributed, highest in west and north, lesser in east and southeast; winters vary from cool along the Black Sea to cold farther inland; summers are warm across the greater part of the country, hot in the south.
