Sweden is the fourth largest country in Europe. The geography of Sweden is beautiful and diverse with forests comprising more than 50% of the land and forests covering 16% of it. Northern landscape of Sweden has many lakes, and mountains, it is the part which experiences a lot of snow in winters whereas the South has plains and agricultural land. Generally the terrain in Sweden comprises of plain and lowlands however to the west the land elevates to form mountains. The highest point in Sweden in terms of landscape is Mt. Kebnekaise which lies on the Kjolen mountain range that separates Sweden from Norway. The largest island of Sweden is Gotland. Another famous island is Oland.
