Relations with International Community

After the exclusion of Milosevic in 2000, the FRY authorities made immense efforts to recreate bridges with the international community. The United Nations was rejoined by FRY; alongside it also joined a range of other global organisations, together with the IMF, OSCE and the Council of Europe. Serbia and Montenegro began negotiations with the EU in October 2005, for a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), the initial stair in the process of EU integration.

Montenegro's Relations with the UK

The Republic of Montenegro was recognized by The UK as an independent self-governing state and established diplomatic relations on 13 June 2006. We publicized our intention to improve the British Office in Podgorica to an Embassy as soon as possible.
