France » Politics Political scenario of the French focuses on the historical events came after another due to great French Revolution. French revolution took place in 1789. France went through a presidential election in 2007; Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy became the president of the country. Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy is the sixth president of the Fifth republic of France.
