Café culture is quite popular in Stockholm as you can find cafes and coffee bars everywhere you go. Afternoon tea in Stockholm has become a trend especially in the winters. Wine in Stockholm is expensive as it is imported. Stockholm’s popular restaurants are mostly run by young chefs who are not afraid to experiment. Dining out is quite popular in Stockholm so it is always better to book a table in advance especially if the restaurant is a popular one.
Sweden has a ‘lunch culture’, people during lunch breaks normally go to a restaurant or a café to grab something to eat. Prices for lunch are comparatively cheaper than evening meals. Normally you can get a good lunch meal for around € 7-9; bread, salad and coffee included. Lunch is served during 11 to 1 and dinner timings are from 5-8 but mostly people in Stockholm have dinner around 7-8.
