SlovakiaFrom expensive international boutiques to small souvenir shops you can find all kind of variety when it comes to shopping in Bratislava. Being a modern capital city Bratislava offers all kind of shopping facilities. Shopping in Bratislava is not very cheap. You can find antiques in the streets of the Old Town. Best place to shop for antiques are shops on Palackeho and Obchodna street.  Other main streets for shopping are Laurinska, Panska, Venturska, Michalska, Sedlarska and Hlavne namestie.

For traditional folk products, ULUV is the best place to go. Among the local Slovaks Obchodna ulica is a popular place to shop.
In the narrow streets of the historical Old Town, you can find finest luxury merchandise, jewellry, footwear, books, crystal and porcelain, souvenirs, antiques and local craft work. Prices are reasonable and at times you can find a real bargain there. Souvenirs stalls can be found  in the Main Square of the Old Town and on Hviezdoslavovo Square in front of the Slovak National Theatre.

Bratislava has several large shopping malls and new shopping centers seem to be emerging on a regular basis. The shopping malls in Bratislava are designed according to the latest trends. The shopping malls of Bratislava have the facility of a cinema, numerous cafes and restaurants, a food court, a grocery supermarket and clothing shops.

Aupark and Polus are near the center and offer variety of shops plus these shopping malls also have multiplex cinemas. Bratislava also has big stores like Tesco where you can find anything that you need. Away from the centre, there is the Avion Shopping Park and the newest mall, the Shopping Palace. Avion Shopping Park is situated about 6, 5 kilometers from the city center and is easily accessible. It is a shopping center where you can shop for anything from food assortments to furniture. You can find IKEA, Hypernova, Giga Sport, Datart, Deichmann and Gate here. Along with shopping it also has services like restaurants and cafes.

 

Bratislava

Aupark is only five minutes from Bratislava’s city center which has more than 200 shops, cafes, restaurants, a multiplex cinema, Billiard and Bowling, a Fitness center and even a casino. Polus City Center  is located at the Vajnorska street near the Kuchajda lake. It has more than 150 shops, restaurants, cafes and multiplex cinema.

Shops in Bratislava open around 10 am. On Sundays most of the shops are closed except the large stores and shopping malls
