Slovakia » Getting to Bratislava

By Air

The low cost airlines have made the Bratislava airport a popular transit point. It has bus connections to the main train station and with the main airport of Vienna as well. To travel inside Slovakia airlines are the best and quickest option. Taxis are available from the airport.
 

By Train

Slovakia cities have train connections with all the major European cities. Trains travel to Slovakia from the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and the Ukraine. To travel inside Slovakia train travel is quite a popular and convenient option. The trains though old are afe and well-maintained. The villages that do not have any train routes are accessible via buses etc that makes travel to any part of Slovakia quite easy.

By bus:

Bus and coach services in Slovakia also exits but usually the rides on buses can take long so people prefer trains. Trains are also  more cheap and comfortable. Buses must be taken if you are not in a hurry to get somewhere. Tickets for buses are available news stands, from automated machines at the bus stops.

By car:

For driving a car in Slovakia the visitors are required to have an international driving license. You can find many car rental agencies in the cities of Slovakia with Bratislava having the widest selction. Some agencies provide the service of delivering the car to you anywhere in Slovakia.

By ship
