Bratislava has an easy going atmosphere. There are the people meeting hubs where people hang around and simply spend the nights chatting, having coffee or tea and generally having a good time. For those interested in parting Bratislava offers plenty of places to have a wild night out.  Bratislava has many modern dance and music clubs so you can count on finding the place that suits your style of entertainment.  It remians quite busy during the summer season. Sundays and Mondays are the days when activity in the night clubs is a bit slow and on Fridays and Saturdays locals and tourists enjoy all night long in Bratislava's pubs and discos. Generally the night clubs come alive after 9 or 10 and sometimes as late as even 11 and the party then continues till dawn at some places. Music in the clubs is the same as that of any other European city.  Some clubs in Bratislava offer theme nights also.

Mlynska dolina is a favourite spot where most of the students hang around so it has earned the reputation of being a place for fun. It has some of Bratislava’s liveliest clubs and variety of restaurants. There are many cinemas and film clubs in Bratislava and operas are also quite popular in Bratislava. New shopping centers in Bratislava also have  cinemas.

Bratislava also hosts concerts from international bands. Many popular singers and bands including Avril Lavigne, Natasha Bedingfield, Pink, Black Eyed Peas, Depeche Mode, the Fugees, Sting and Elton John have performed in Braislava.
