Bratislava offers many restaurants and cafes catering to all tastes. The latest international trends along with traditional cuisines can be found in Bratislava. The Slovak national meal is Bryndzove Halusky, that consists of small potato dumplings, similar to Italian gnocchi, topped with sheep’s cheese mixed with cream and sprinkled with bits of fried bacon or fresh chive. Near the castle there are many fine restaurants. In the centre of town there is a food market referred to as one big restaurant because it has many interesting locations to eat.
