Slovakia » Dining in Bratislava Bratislava offers many restaurants and cafes catering to all tastes. The latest international trends along with traditional cuisines can be found in Bratislava. The Slovak national meal is Bryndzove Halusky, that consists of small potato dumplings, similar to Italian gnocchi, topped with sheep’s cheese mixed with cream and sprinkled with bits of fried bacon or fresh chive. There are many restaurants that offer Slovak specialties along with specialties from the neighbouring countries too. Pastries, rich butter and cream are quite popular in Bratislava.
