For a distinctly Singaporean experience, try watching a production by one of Singapore's many multilingual theatre companies. Arts groups like The Necessary Stage, TheatreWorks and Action Theatre put on productions in English, Theatre Kami in Malay, The Theatre Practice in Mandarin and Agni Kootthu in Tamil and English. 

ART Singapore

ARTSingapore is a contemporary Asian art fair held at Suntec City. Organised by the Art Galleries Association, it creates an exciting platform for galleries to network, exchange ideas and create opportunities for visitors to view and buy artwork from the region. Forty galleries from 14 Asia Pacific countries are due to take part this year. A series of talks accompany the fair.

The Singapore Food Festival is a month-long, city-wide epicurean extravaganza, featuring everything from themed weekends to the best dining with international chefs and a plethora of cooking classes and demonstrations.

Singapore Fashion Festival

The Singapore Fashion Festival, or simply FF to those in the know, features glamorous fashion shows in Singapore's major malls as well as small designer shows in chic city boutiques in the heart of Orchard Road and Marina Bay.

The Lion City welcomes the world's top fashion houses to join local designers when the latest spring/summer collections of international labels (as well as those of talented local designers) arrive in the stores. Together with the various debut showings during the festival, FF provides a coordinated platform for the launch of the latest fashion-related products and trends.
