The most trendy beach area is along the north coast where sandy beaches are ample and the clear waters here are ideal for sailing, skin-diving and water-skiing. The best beaches are at Paradise Bay, Golden Bay, Mellieha Bay, Armier Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha Bay, all of which are very popular during the summer and satisfyingly quiet during spring. 
Morocco's very own Romeo and Juliet story is the motivation for this ethnic marriage festival in which up to 40 couples tie the knot on one day in Imilchil in the Middle-High Atlas Mountains. The festival is also a reason for the surrounding Berber tribes to get together and dance, give impromptu musical performances and enjoy a jolly good shop.

Rabat has fine decorative churches, St Pauls, St Agathas Catacombs and the Roman Villa. There are many motivating walks within close proximity to the town, such as the Chadwick Lake, Dingli Cliffs and Verdala Castle and overlooking Buskett Gardens.
