Direct flight times from London are 2 ½ hours.

By Air

At present visitors have the facility to fly from the UK to Croatia where it is only half an hour drive into Montenegro and flights charges are just about £156 return.

The main airports in Montenegro are Podgorica and Tivat on the coast. Direct flights are operated from London Heathrow to Tivat all the way through the summer by JAT airlines. Direct flights of Montenegro Airlines will start functioning From May 2008, destined to Podgorica from London Stansted every Wednesday and Sunday. Connections of flight can also be made from Belgrade. BA flies into Dubrovnik airport in Croatia which is only 18 miles across the border.

By Road

The road system has enhanced tremendously in current years thanks to significant investment, facilitating the travelers to get around more efficiently. An international driving license is not required. Driving is straightforward and leisurely in comparison with driving in the UK and self-sufficient travel is very easy. There are many European routes E65, E80, E762, E763 and E851 that pass through the country.

By Rail and Bus

There is an international railway link which links up and connects Bar with Belgrade and there are programmed bus services to all the main cities within Montenegro as well as bus lines to Serbia and Croatia. There are overnight trains with sleeping cars for around €25, which must be reserved in advance, but are a more relaxed choice.

By Sea

A great number of passenger ships come in the port of Bar and the various marinas along the whole coastal zone are prepared to welcome small and medium size yachts. Regular ferry lines run from Bar to Bari and Ancona in Italy. The lines operating on a daily basis throughout the year get more frequent during the summer.
