Entertainment has always held great importance in Rome. Public game like gladiator fights, wild animal contests and Chariot racing were quite popular games in ancient Rome which were banned with time. Today the lively city of Rome has a number of theaters, nightclubs, pubs, bars, cafes and evening activities where you can go for a good time. There are number of sights, architectural monuments and ruins to look out for. Apart from the historical attraction Rome’s culture, food scenery makes a visit to Rome a worthwhile experience. Romans love to hang out in the evening and have a leisurely meal, because of their love for food you can count on quality food. Another popular activity is evening passeggiata. Opera performances are quite popular in Rome and the performances and musical concerts go on all year round. In summers the operas and concerts are held in open air venues, in the gardens, archaeological sites and parks of Rome that provide a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy the music. Summer season is the time people get out to have some fun in the sun and many outdoor activities takes place during this season in almost every corner of the city.

Teatro dell’Opera is Rome’s prestigious opera house hosts the biggest opera and ballets where people dress up in fancy clothes to go. The tickets for the events here sell out very quickly and can be reserved online as well.

The hotels in Rome serve some excellent food. The Ghione Theatre renovated in 1980s  with its classical productions and musical concerts has given new life to the theater scene in Rome. For those with a taste for modern music clubs like Alexanderplatz, Via Ostia 9 are the places to go and for more varied music Foncea and Via Crescenzio 82A can be tried.

Two of the most popular hangouts, are the Via Condotti from Piazza di Spagna to the Via del Corso, and the Piazza Navona.
