Shopping in Rio is not very expensive. Mostly shops in Rio are open from 9pm to 6pm from Mondays to Fridays. On Saturdays the opening time are from 9am to 1pm or 2pm.  On Sundays except for the large shopping malls the shops remain closed.

Ataulfo de Paiva (Leblon) and Av. Nossa Senhora de Copacabana (Copacabana) Rio has many shopping centers located throughout the city.
