Beer is the favorite Brazilian drink. Churrasco is another popular dish. Being close to the sea, Rio offers a variety of sea food ranging from fresh lobster, shrimp, shellfish, and numerous fishes. For those who like spice, Rio also has plenty of dishes native to Bahia, Brazil's capital of hot and spicy cooking. Rio de Janeiro is a paradise for fine dining. Dining options in Rio are plenty from simple to upscale restaurants with all kinds of offerings ranging from simple sandwiches to delicious steaks, fresh sushi etc. Apart from the restaurants, the street food in Rio is also very delicious and quite affordable. The restaurants offer superb service. Most restaurants in Rio stay open from around 11am until 4pm and from 7pm until midnight or later.
