Rio de Janeiro is the most beautiful city of Brazil known for its natural settings with white-sand beaches complimented by sapphire waters and lush green peaks. The city has areas nestled between the beaches and the mountain range with lavish tropical forest. Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city of Brazil and one of the most

lifestyle. They love to spend most of their time outdoors so in this

culture is varied and diverse just like its people. Being the cultural

artifacts dating to the 20th-century. The theaters in Rio are almost
over 60. Theatro Municipal, Rio is the largest theater in Brazil.
Operas, ballets and concerts by companies from all over the world stage
their talents here. 
Rio is full of tourist attractions. The famous and most renowned
attraction of the Rio de Janeiro is the giant statue of Jesus, known as
Christ the Redeemer perched atop Corcovado Mountain. It has been named
as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The view from the statue
of Christ above the city of Rio de Janeiro is stunning. Sugar loaf
Mountain is another dramatic landmark and most sought after tourist
attraction in Rio. A cable car ride installed in 1912 takes you to the
top of Sugar Loaf which offers mesmerizing view of the city and of the
famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. The views are particularly
beautiful at sunset.
Rio is a beautiful place to visit, bringing all the colours, attractions and festivities together in the most stunning settings. Flight to Rio de Janeiro takes approximately 11 hours from London.

Rio de Janeiro is also titled as cidade maravilhosa, which means a marvelous city. Brazilians proud of their city quote that God created the world in six days and on the seventh day, he created Rio de Janeiro. According to Rio de Janeiro’s history the city was discovered by Gaspar de Lemos in 1501. He entered the huge bay and mistaking it for a river he named it Rio de Janeiro meaning ‘River of January’ as it was January when the discovery was made.
